  • 4 cups of apples
  • 1/2 lemon juice
  • 3 cups of water
  • 1 1/3 cups of granulated sugar
  • 5 tablespoons of cornstarch
  • Kosher salt
  • A pinch of nutmeg
  • 1 teaspoon of cinnamon


  1. Take the apples and peeled, cored and diced them then shift this to a bowl and set it aside.

  2. Add the lemon juice to the apple bowl and toss the apple pieces so it gently mixed well with each apple pieces.

  3. Take a medium saucepan and add cornstarch, cinnamon, and a pinch of kosher salt, a pinch of nutmeg, sugar, and water. Heat the saucepan on medium flame and stir the mixture until everything combines well.

  4. When the mixture comes to boil apple let it boil cook for next 2 minutes then turn the flame to low.

  5. Now, add the apple pieces to the saucepan and cover with the lid. Simmer it for the next 6 to 8 minutes. Stirring often until you see the apple to turn soften.

  6. Take a washed moisture free jar and add everything to the saucepan and cool it until it comes to normal room temperature. Now tighten with the lid and shift the jar to a refrigerator. The mixture will thicken well in the refrigerator.
