  • 2 lbs chicken or 450 gram
  • 4 tbsp yoghurt
  • 2 tbsp refined oil
  • 3 tbsp coriander powder
  • 4 pieces green chili chopped
  • 1/4 tbsp red chili powder
  • 1/2 tbsp turmeric powder
  • 6 pieces Kari leaves or basil leaves finely chopped
  • 4 tbsp tomato ketchup
  • salt to taste


  1. In a bowl add red chili powder, coriander powder, turmeric powder, yoghurt, salt and washed chicken pieces. Mix it well so the spices coat the chicken pieces. Transfer it to fridge for 4-6 hours to marinate.

  2. Take a deep pan and heat oil on a medium flame. Fry the marinated chicken until they turn golden brown from both the sides. Turn off the flame and keep the fried chicken pieces aside.

  3. Take another pan and cook fried chicken for 2 minutes. This step is necessary to make our chicken 65 recipe crispy.

  4. Now add green chili, Kari leaves and tomato ketchup and mix it well. Cook it for 5 minutes on low medium flame. Stir it occasionally.

  5. Shift into serving bowl and garnish it with spring onion. Now serve hot with any beverage or bread of your choice.

  1. If you do not have Kari leaves, you can also use Basil leaves or coriander leaves.
