- 2 lbs or 900 gram of medium-sized Yukon gold potatoes
- Kosher salt
- Extra virgin olive oil
- Black pepper to taste
Preheat the oven to 425 degree F. Place a rack in lower position and set it aside. Slice each Yukon Gold potatoes into two pieces. (Half sliced)
Use a baking sheet and add the Yukon Gold potatoes onto it. (Front part on the base) then add 2 cups of water on the tray. Make sure to give some room among the potatoes.
Take a large foil paper and cover the baking dish using the foil paper. Seal all the sides tightly so no steam can goes in or comes out. This will let the water cook the Yukon Gold potatoes nicely.
Bake it for 25 to 30 minutes or until it is folk tender. Use a fork to check for slides. If it slides easily it means Yukon Gold potatoes are now perfectly baked or bake it for another 3 to 4 minutes.
Now, open the foil from one side and drain out all the water. Wait for 5 minutes until potatoes cool down.

Shift this again to the oven until the top of potatoes turn golden in color. This will also turn the bottom of the potatoes to crisp and browned. It will take approximately 20 minutes. Now, wait for the potatoes to cool a bit down to unstick them using a spatula.
