Ingredients

  • 2 lbs Mutton pieces (450 gram)
  • 4-5 tbsp oil or as required
  • 4 tbsp clarified butter
  • 4 Cardamom
  • 1 inch Cinnamon
  • 2 bay leaves
  • 5 Onion grated or finely chopped
  • 1 tbsp ginger paste
  • 1 tbsp garlic paste
  • 1 tbsp turmeric powder
  • 1 1/2 tbsp red chili powder
  • 1/2 tbsp coriander powder
  • 2 medium sized tomatoes puree
  • 1/2 cup fresh yogurt
  • 1/2 tbsp Garam Masala
  • Salt to taste

Instructions

  1. Clean and dry mutton pieces carefully by draining water. Add slight salt and turmeric into it with yogurt and ginger paste. Set it aside to get marinated.

  2. Heat oil in a frying pan. Add cloves, cardamom, black pepper, cinnamons, and bay leaves together for making mutton curry recipe.

  3. Keep on sautéing the mix for 2-3 min. Add chopped onion and fry until the onion turns golden brown in color. Add ginger garlic paste and keep on cooking till the mix settles on the fry pan and oil comes out of it. Now you need to add turmeric powder, red chili powder, and coriander powder. Combine all spices well and add tomato puree along with the salt to taste.

  4. Keep on cooking until the tomatoes turn pulpy and oil gets separated from the sides. Now add the seasoned mutton pieces and mix properly. Cook on a medium flame for 4 to 5 minutes; keep on stirring once in a while. Add yogurt to it and keep on mixing well.

  5. Cook further for 4-5 minutes more: add 2-3 cups of water and stir the entire mix well. You may add chopped coriander leaves in this mix along with garam masala.

  6. Transfer the total mix into the pressure cooker and cook or next 10 minutes (till you get 4-5 whistles) to finish Curry goat recipe. Once the pressure goes off, shift the easy lamb curry recipe to a serving bowl and serve it hot with your favorite rice recipe or bread.
