Clean chicken properly and cut slashes in the flesh to marinade. Take a vessel and mix yogurt, lemon juice, garlic paste, ginger paste, ground coriander, pepper powder, cardamom, cloves and salt.
Stir the mixture well and then pour the mixture over chicken and rub it into the flesh so that all the chicken pieces are well marinated. Cover and refrigerate the chicken for 6-8 hours and remove it at least 60 minutes before cooking.
Get the tandoor prepared for roasting or it can be grilled depending on what way you wish to cook it.
