  • 1/4 cup of soy sauce
  • 3 tbsp of honey
  • 1 tbsp English mustard powder or Dijon mustard
  • 2 tbsp of extra virgin olive oil
  • 2 onions finely chopped and minced
  • 1/4 cup of balsamic vinegar
  • 3 cloves of garlic chopped and minced
  • 2 tbsp of dried oregano
  • 2 tbsp of dried rosemary
  • 1 tbsp of thyme leaves
  • Water as required
  • Black pepper to taste
  • Salt to taste

  1. Use a large crock pot and sift all the ingredients except the cornstarch and pork. Give it a gentle mix until it combines well.

  2. Now, add the pork to the crock pot and combine it gently so pork gets coat of other ingredients. Make sure it gets coat from all sides.

  3. Take it to flame and cook it on low flame for 7-8 hours or until you find pork gets cooked well and become tender and soft.

  4. Remove the pork from crock pot and transfer it to serving dish. Use an aluminum foil to tent loosely. Let it sit for few minutes.

  5. While the pork is resting thicken the sauce. Take a bowl and add 3 tablespoons of water and cornstarch. Mix it well until the entire cornstarch dissolves in the water and there are no lumps remains. If you find a few lumps break it to make a smooth and soft paste.

  6. Now sift the crock pot liquid to a saucepan. Add the cornstarch paste and take it to the flame. Wait until it comes to boil. Don't boil for more than 2 minutes. 2 minutes are more than enough to make a perfect thicken sauce.

  7. Slice the pork into your desired size pieces and transfer it to serving plate. Pour the sauce over and serve it hot.
