  • 1/4 tsp coriander powder
  • 1/4 tsp cumin powder
  • 1 tsp red chilli powder
  • 1/2 tsp dried fenugreek leaves
  • 1/2 tsp lemon juice
  • 2 tsp oil of your choice (mustard preferably)

Making Sauce

  • 1 Piece Of black cardamom
  • 1 tbsp whole coriander seeds
  • 1 Inch cinnamon piece
  • 1 whole dried Kashmiri red chilli or whole Paprika (optional)
  • 10 pcs. of Cashew
  • 2 onions finely sliced
  • 2 small size tomatoes finely chopped or tomato puree
  • 1/2 tsp red chilli powder
  • 1/4 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1/2 tsp garam masala powder
  • 1/2 tsp dried fenugreek leaves
  • 1 Pinch of paprika powder
  • 1/4 Cup of fresh cream
  • 1 1/2 tsp tsp oil or butter
  • 2 tbsp very finely chopped coriander leaves or Parsley
  • 1 Cup of water
  • Salt to taste

  1. Start with preparing marinating mixture. Take a bowl, pour curd and beat the curd until it turns soft paste. Mix marinating ingredients (ginger garlic paste, tandoori masala powder, coriander powder, red chili powder, chat masala powder, lemon juice, crushed and dried fenugreek leaves, cumin powder and salt). mix it well.

  2. Now add cheese cubes into marinating mixture and coat each cheese with marinating mixture. Cover the bowl for minimum of 2 hours and for better result cover it for 4 hours. If you are in hurry then marinate at least for 30 minutes while keeping the covered mixture in fridge.

  3. Take a non stick pan and add 2 tablespoons of oil. Once the oil heats keep the flame on medium and fry the cheese in 4-5 batches from all sides so it turns light golden brown in color. Make sure you fry the cheese from all sides otherwise it may taste a little different.

  4. You can also use grill to fry these cheese cubes and it tastes much better than a simple fry, of course. Once done with fried or grilled process put the cheese on napkin paper so it can soaks the excess oils from cheese.

  5. Now take a pan on medium flame and add butter or oil whatever you prefer to eat. Now add black cardamom, whole dry coriander seeds, cinnamon, dry red Kashmiri chili or (cayenne or paprika powder) and cashew. Fry it for 1 minute then add onions and fry until it becomes translucent or golden brown in colour.

  6. Now add the tomato and salt. Mix it well. Cook the tomatoes until they become soft. (It usually takes 3-4 minutes). Stir it occasionally.

  7. Add turmeric powder, garam masala powder and red chilli powder and mix it well. Now turn off the flame and let the mixture cools down. (It will take 5-6 minutes)

  8. Take a mixer grinder, add 1/2 cup of water and prepared mixture and grind this to make smooth paste.

  9. Again, take the same pan and add the grinded mixture with 1/2 cup of water. Once the mixture boils, add crushed kasuri methi and little paprika powder for colour.

  10. Add the fried cheese and mix it well and wait until the mixture finds colour. Now, add the fresh cream and give it a good mix and turn off the flame right away.

  11. To garnish, use small piece of butter and coriander leaves or Parsley. Serve it hot with your favourite bread recipe.

Recipe Notes
