  • 1 1/2 cup of all purpose flour
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 1 1/2 cup of milk
  • 2 tbsp of sugar
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 2 eggs white
  • Kosher salt
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil


  1. Take a deep bowl and add all the dry ingredients one by one. First make a flat ground then make a well in the centre. Slowly add the milk in the centre as much as the well contains. Now add the rest of the milk as you mix it.

  2. Add the egg white and vanilla followed by a little oil or as necessary. Whisk it nicely and make sure that there are no lumps remains at the end. If a bit lumps remain let it be. Set it aside.

  3. Heat a small piece of butter in non stick pan on medium flame. Pour the pancake mix. Add the pancake mix as the thicker or bigger you want. (For small pancake use 1/4 cup and for big use 1/2 cup of pancake mix)

  4. Here you can add fruits then sprinkle it on the top of the pancake.

  5. Flip the pancake when the cooking side turns golden brown in color and wait until the bubbles come out from top side. Flip and continue until the other side turns golden brown in color.

  6. Check the cooked pancake. Here you have a chance to change the batter like for thicker add more flour and if you want thinner pancake to adjust the milk.

  7. Cook the rest of the pancake using the same batter while making sure the heat doesn’t go on a very high flame. Once done use a towel and cover the entire pancake to keep warmth them.

Recipe Notes

In my pancake recipe I keep the use of vanilla optional but if you use the vanilla it added a wonderful flavor and sweetened the pancake in depth. If you don’t have vanilla available use vanilla extracts as substitute.

Adding a few secret ingredients like most restaurants do like berries, chocolate chips along with the batter even mashed banana turn out to be a magical twist with this dish.
