- 4 big sized potatoes
- 6 cloves of sliced garlic
- 1/2 cup of hot milk
- 2 tablespoons of butter
- Black pepper to taste
- Salt to taste
Take a saucepan and add plenty of water into it then adds potatoes cut into quarters and sliced garlic. Shift this to flame and bring it to a boil on high flame. When the water starts to boil turn the flame to medium and boil it for 10 minutes then turn the flame off. If the potatoes don't seem like they have been cooked from the inside, boil it for another 2 to 4 minutes or until it the potatoes are nicely done. If potatoes become tender and done now then keep it in warm water until they are going to use any further.
When the water comes to normal temperature peel it gently and mashes the potatoes. Don't try to over mash potatoes even if there are few lumps remained with the potatoes. Squeeze the garlic using a spatula or spoon.
Either use melted butter or mix the 2 tablespoons of butter, salt, and pepper to the mixture and mix it well.
Heat the milk until it comes to hot then add this to the mixture and gently beat everything until you see the creamy texture comes as result. You can add 1/4 cup to 1/2 cup of milk on your desired consistency of creaminess.
Our garlic mashed potatoes is ready to serve now. If you are not going to right away then you can cover it using a foil paper so it can keep the dish stay hot.
