Ingredients

  • 1 cup of all purpose flour
  • 1 cup of granulated sugar
  • 6 tablespoons of butter
  • 1/2 tablespoon of baking powder
  • Kosher salt
  • 3/4 cup of milk
  • 1/2 teaspoon of ground cinnamon
  • 4 cups of peeled and sliced peaches
  • 3/4 cup of granulated sugar

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350 degrees F.

  2. Take a saucepan and add sugar, kosher salt and peeled and sliced peaches. Combine everything gently by stirring using a spatula. (In case you are going to use canned peaches then skip this step and next)

  3. On medium flame stir mix so the sugar dissolves quickly and added the flavor to the mixture. Once the sugar dissolves completely take the saucepan off the flame.

  4. Use a large baking dish and sliced the butter and add to the baking dish and shift this to the oven so the butter gets melt before we process. Once the butter melted completely take it out from the oven.

  5. Use a large mixing bowl to add the all-purpose flour, sugar, baking powder and, kosher salt. Mix them well then add the milk little by little while making a fine batter of the mixture using a whisk.

  6. Shift this batter instantly over the melted butter and smoothly form a nice layer of it.

  7. Spoon the juices and peaches over the batter and sprinkle some of the ground cinnamon over the peaches.

  8. Now transfer this to oven and bake it for the next 35 to 40 minutes. You can check while it in the process for 1 to 2 times for doneness.

    Serve it hot!

The peaches are full of juices so when you cook it, they leave a lot of juices to the mixture and blend into a delightful taste, that you will not have taste in the canned peaches.
