Nothing can be compared to the chicken dish especially when it comes to chicken kabab recipe that gives an immense pleasure when served hot. If you have never tasted the Indian chicken kabab recipe then this is a "must try dish" that is quite famous around the Asian countries.

  • 1 1/4 lbs or 500 gram of boneless chicken breast
  • 1 cup of yoghurt
  • 3 tablespoon of soy sauce
  • 4 teaspoon of grated ginger
  • 2 teaspoon of minced garlic
  • 2 teaspoon of ground coriander
  • 2 teaspoon of ground cumin
  • 2 teaspoon of chicken spice powder or allspice powder
  • A pinch of ground turmeric
  • A pinch of ground black pepper
  • 1/2 bell pepper chopped
  • Mustard oil or olive oil
  • Salt to taste


  1. Cut the boneless chicken into 1 inch chunks then wash in the running water then dry using a kitchen towel. Set it aside.

  2. In a food processor add the chopped bell pepper in jar then add a little water and make a very fine paste of it. Shift it to a bowl and set it aside.

  3. To make marinade, take a medium-sized bowl and add soy sauce, grated ginger, minced garlic, ground cumin, ground turmeric, chicken spice, bell pepper paste, ground coriander, yoghurt and salt. Mix it well.

  4. Now, take a fork and pierce several times into each chicken chunks then transfer the chicken cubes to marinade mixture. Rub the marinating mixture over each chicken chunk evenly.

  5. Line a foil paper on baking dish and then add the chicken chunk on it. Shift this to a refrigerator to marinate for 2 to 4 hours. If you are in hurry then go for at least 30 minutes.

  6. Take the chicken out 15-20 minutes prior to cook. Shift the baking dish in the middle of oven and pour the yoghurt marinade over the chicken cubes and wrap the paper on baking dish.

  7. For first 10 minutes, we will cook this on very high flame then reduce the temperature to medium and cook it for another 10 minutes.

  8. If you want to cook it through grill process then discard the use of foil paper and use the same method of cooking.

  9. Our chicken kabab recipe is now ready to serve. Garnish it with chopped cilantro leaves. Additionally, you can make a nice texture using butter.

Recipe Notes

If you want to enjoy gravy recipe from the chicken kabab then add a few tablespoon of water and simmer it to make gravy recipe. Don't be afraid at all, it will still be so tasty and delicious.
