- 5 lbs or 1 3/4 kilogram of Yukon gold potatoes
- 2 stick of unsalted butter
- 2 + 1/2 cup of fontina cheese shredded

- 4 cloves of garlic minced

Peel the potatoes and cut for your desired shape or 1 inch pieces. Wash the potatoes in running water for 2 to 3 times until it become clear.
Use a stockpot and add washed potatoes and minced garlic with plenty of fresh water. Add 1 tablespoon of water to the stockpot and take it on high flame and wait until it comes to boil. Once the water come to boil turn the flame to low medium and simmer it for 15 minutes until the potatoes are fork tender.
